I live in New York City, in the neighborhood real estate types call Clinton, but everyone else calls Hell's Kitchen (you can see why real estate types prefer 'Clinton'). Even though I'm in the media business, I never in a million years thought I would live in New York. Too expensive, too tough a city for me. But then I got a great job offer, and here I am. And boy, am I glad. It turns out I love the energy, the drive, and all the options this city has to offer (if I want to see a Broadway musical, it's a 10 minute walk from our front door). And although it is pricey to live here, most NYC jobs, including mine, pay well enough to compensate.

My partner and I live in a two-bedroom apartment that would be considered medium-small anywhere but Manhattan.
